Brenna W's Top Web Picks

Every month, we choose a girl to give us her favorite websites.

Brenna W is 11 years old and lives in Ontario, Canada. She and herbrother Michael (who's the Boy's Navigator this month) picked mostlyCanadian sites because they want everyone to know that Canada has justas much good stuff as that little country under it! (More, actually!!)

* Owl Magazine. Brenna says: I love this magazine and I love their website, too! My favouritefeature is Mighty Mite Adventures. If you've never heard of them, thenyou're really missing something!

* Both Michael and I love to collect rocks. This site has lots ofinformation about rocks and minerals, plus you can buy samples online(if your parents'll let you). You can find out what your birthstone isat Internet Rock Shop.

* This site is the best!!! It has really stupid computer tricks, liketeaching your computer to make a rude noise. Ontario Science Museum.

* Guess who's got the World's Tallest Building? Find out where it is andgo for a ride on it Here.

* Our dad works for the railroad, so we get to ride for free! When I'mnot riding the rails, I can go to the official VIA website and downloadpictures of trains and look at maps of places where we've been.Rail Canada.

* Everyone in Canada plays hockey. Even in years when we don't win the Stanley Cup, you can be sure thatmost of the players on the winning team are Canadian! To find out moreabout hockey players, the history of hockey, or to visit theircyberstore, go to Hockey Hall of Fame.

* We're not just hockey champions, either. The Blue Jays have won theWorld Series twice and the Argonauts have been winning medals infootball (Americans call it soccer) for almost a hundred years. Boththese teams plus the Toronto Raptors (our basketball team), play theirgames in the Skydome.

* OK, I'll admit it: I collect Beanie Babies. The official site has alist of all the babies you can buy, plus it tells you which Babies areretired. Some retired Babies (like Righty and Lefty) are already worththousands of dollars! Official Beanie Baby Website.

* I love Animorphs!!! Here's where to go to find out more about them:Animorphs.

* The States may have Disneyland, but Canada hasThe West Edmonton Mall! While the grown-upsare shopping, you can go on the Mindbender Roller Coaster or the Drop ofDoom (14 stories!!!). There's also a waterpark with a Deep SeaSubmarine Adventure and the Dolphin Lagoon and Sea Life Caverns.

Oldies but goodies: Previous top-10 lists.

We're always looking for new sites, so if you have a list of your top ten sites let us know!
