Homemade Punching Bag
By Steve Rouse
You may think, hey! That's what brothers are for! But you'd be wrong. If youwant a punching bag -- especially one that won't hit back -- make your own!
Before you even get started with this, you'll have to get permissionfrom your parents to screw a good strong hook into the top doorframe(called the overhead lintel) of your room -- or whichever room you planto use. If they say no, then ask if you can hang the bag from a garagerafter or something..
Next, you'll need an old cushion from a couch or a chair and about sixfeet of strong cord or rope. Tie the rope very tightly around thecushion about a third of the way down, which will divide the cushioninto two parts..
With the other end of the rope make a non-sliding loop, and stick theloop over the hook. Make sure the cushion is hanging at the right heightfor easy punching.
