Oldies But Goodies

From Peter Mc., our April 1998 web navigator:

* St. Louis Cardinals. Since the Cardinals are my team, I like this site the best. It's got theteam's history, player bios, team rosters and a photo gallery. Clickon Mark McGwire forhis homepage.

* The Official Nintendo Website. Not as much goodstuff as the Unofficial website, but worth a visit anyway.

* To find out about other teams and league stuff, go to Major League Baseball. This isthe official site for the American and National leagues. It has ascoreboard, fan forums, team histories, records and a clubhouse shop.

* If you like comic books like The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, FantasticFour or Spiderman, click on Marvel Comics.

* Dynasty League Baseball.

* Sega. You can't download anything here, butthey have previews of new games you can buy, like World SeriesBaseball '98.

* Click on Interactive Web Games tofind games like Minesweep, Tic-tac-toe and Hunt the Wumpus that youcan play without Java. They have games that use Java, too.

* This site combines two of my favorite things: computer games and modeltrains! Interactive ModelRailroad. This lets you watch and operate a model railroad.

* If you like model trains, go to National Model Railroad Association. They've got some pretty goodlinks to hobby shops, MR webzines and othe model train stuff.

* Yahoo has links to weird things you can do on the internet, likecontrolling robotic arms, looking at some guy's refrigerator magnetsor writing a message on an LED display that scrolls on some buildingsomewhere at Interesting Devices Connectedto the Net.
